Breakdown!

Volunteers worked quickly starting at 7:00 pm on Saturday night to get everything ready for pick up on Sunday evening. JBF Tulsa has such a well organized way of getting this all done very quickly and efficiently!

Donated items were seperated and put into piles for either Emergency Infant Services or Catholic Charities (depending on the sizes of the items).

Brandi's Finds!

Brandi's kids are super cute! And check out the great stuff she found at the sale... She said, "This fall's sale was absolutely AMAZING! Some of the best stuff EVER! My 4 year old son is ever so picky about how he looks and what he wears (he's totally into skate clothing). He told me, "I look like such a big boy now. Like the high school boys huh?" LOL Does he ever!!!!!"

Sales Updated Through Monday Night!

If you haven't already noticed this morning, myjbftags.com has been updated with sales data through Monday night. Check it out!

Faster Checkout!

In case you haven't been to the sale yet (and if not, you should go - NOW!!), just one more cool thing this year is the addition of a "POS" (point of sale) checkout system. Gone are the days of detagging! This year, you just take all your loot directly to the checkout, and they scan the tags directly - you remove the tags yourself at home. This makes for a much quicker and simplified checkout process!





Also, there are still tons of great items! The coats have been moved the front of each section for the little ones (making it easy to pick your favorite), and there is a HUGE selection of bedding...

New Merchandise- MONDAY!

Consignors were lined up tonight to bring in new merchandise on Sunday evening. Be sure to come by and see the new stuff!

Open to the Public Tomorrow!

Volunteers, consignors and first time moms had the opportunity to shop on Saturday. Tomorrow, Sunday, the sale opens to the public at 1:00. You will notice increased security (including Tulsa police officers seen in the above picture). They are helping to keep the consigners' merchandise safe!

**Reminder: NO TAGS should be removed at the sale by anyone! The new Point of Sale system means that there is NO de-tagging. The tags are simply scanned into the system.

If you see anyone removing tags, please report them!

The JBF-Tulsa sale has a new location this year at the fairgrounds! It's MUCH larger than the last building, and gives much needed space for even more bargains...





As always, there are some great finds available this time around, including some items that are perfect for back to school... Check out all the backpacks, sports cleats, and brand new hair bows!

Hangers!

As a consignor myself, I found out today that all the dry-cleaning locations listed as hanger resources are completely sold out of the child-sized wire hangers... I guess that's what I get for waiting until the last minute to get all my goodies ready for the sale! Anyway, I checked with Shannon and Daven about using adult-sized wire hangers for some of my children's clothes and they agreed that was ok when I ran out of the child size. Just thought I'd pass along the tip in case anyone else is in the same "last minute" boat as me...

Also, this evening I found the durable child-sized tubular hangers at Walmart - 10 for $0.90!

Good news! Volunteer registration is still open until August 17th.

To sign up, visit the JBF Tulsa online registration to fill in your information and your volunteer schedule. We appreciate our volunteers! Moms are the hardest workers in the world. We are very fortunate to call you friends!

Tulsa JBF has closed consignor registration. We have a record number of sign ups! Don't put off your tagging any longer....get a jump start by going to myjbftags.com and tag your most expensive items today.

We had a great JBF Big Splash Day with over 850 of you and your friends and neighbors, put it on your calendars for the first Monday after July 4th in 2009. We will do it again!

The Oklahoma summer heat makes this a great week to get your items out and and start tagging at myjbftags.com. In this economy, please be sure you are marking your items priced to sell. Everyone is trying to save money and will be on a tight budget this year, and we don't want our items to sit on the rack and get returned to us. So, price your items right and bring them in great condition for a big check!

We still have a few openings for volunteers if you are interested in earning an extra 5% on the items you sell and the opportunity to shop early. We would love to have you join us and the best sale in the region!

An email was sent out by the Tulsa sale organizers indicating the procedure for sign-up, or you can visit the JBF-Tulsa website HERE to see the detailed instructions. Be sure to also sign up to volunteer to earn your presale pass and shop early!

JBF @ Big Splash!

Just Between Friends will be holding a special day of fun in the sun with friends. We sent out an email to all consignors inviting them to a day at Big Splash Water Park on July 7th. All the details are in the email, so be sure and check your mailboxes. Basically, on July 7th, 10am-6pm for $9 a person you can play and have a meal at Big Splash.
It is a great time to just let moms visit and kids play. Come and catch up with your JBF consignor friends. Meet at the reserved pavilions between the Master Blaster and the Wave Pool.

They invited several of the ladies from their stay-at-home moms bible study to join in and sell their children's gently used clothing. Seventeen of the women from their church took them up on the offer. That was the first Just Between Friends sale ever!

Summer is Finally Here!

Last day of school for all students who attend Tulsa Public Schools! I hope you have a very fun summer planned. Don't forget to go through all of your winter items for the Fall Just Between Friends sales events. Plan a day at home with your kids and have everyone go though all of their items.
