What a great sale! I know we (the bloggers!) found TONS of great bargains! So sad to see it end, but we are looking forward to the Spring/Summer sale!!!

Attention Book Lovers (and parents of little book lovers!): There are still a ton of
books available, and they will be half price Sunday! Daven reports she has found $.50 books that will be a quarter on Sunday. What a deal!!!

Notes From Daven!

We had a cleaning up day on Thursday to get ready for our big 25% off sale for Friday and Saturday. If you have any friends that need boys clothing sized newborn to 12 months, please send them out to the sale. We have hundreds of very nice fall outfits for little boys! Also long as the tag does not have a red star, it will be 25% off on Friday and Saturday and then 50% off on Sunday! We are on the downhill swing, so get all your friends to come out. There is something for everyone!

We straightened all the tubs and we would like everyone to take home hats, gloves and mittens for the winter for your little ones! Don't forget to check out socks, underwear, and pajamas. We have every accessory that you could every need, belts, purses, hats, bows, headbands, scrunchies, ballet and tap shoes.

Some of the more unusual items that your family may need: a round crib, a John Deer Tractor toddler bed, car seat covers, shopping cart covers, OU crib bedding, 7 piece white wicker daybed set, a very large brown bunny chair, bunk bed, and a stroller for triplets. You have to see all this to believe it!

All the clothing and shoes we're bought just this weekend at the sale... as well as the powerwheel that my daughter figured out how to work while taking pictures. I got ran over a couple times LOL My daughter absolutely LOVES clothes and shoes so getting pictures out of here was NO problem. Thanks for all the fun times working and shopping and allowing my daughter to look so freekin CUTE!!! Oh.. and a huge thanks for the $10 powerwheel!!! LOL She can go drive it in the backyard with my boys in their Chevy truck and their Jeep!

Here's a few pics taken at the 12-hour volunteer presale today. It's amazing to see all the goodies put in the sale - and very hard to narrow down your "loot!" This first pic is just of the racks - absolutely jammed full of great finds! It's funny to go back and compare this picture to the empty racks pic taken on Wednesday (8/15).

JBF-Tulsa gives shoppers and consignors the opportunity to donate items to Emergency Infant Services, among other charities...

My feet hurt!

Wow..what a busy day. It is now 11:00pm on Friday evening. The Trade Center at Expo Square (21st just west of Yale) is full of 1127 families items. We are all organized and ready for our Volunteer and Consignor presale tomorrow as well as our First Time Moms presale. We have a ton of everything and need more room!

We are looking forward to each and every person finding just what they were hoping for! We will see you soon. I am on my way home to put my feet up and rest (at least til 7:30am in the morning)! Thanks so much to all of our volunteers that have helped us all week. All of that work is totally worth that shop early pass!

Oh.. forgot to mention this earlier. Channel 8 came out last night to do a story on recalled items. They came out again this morning for their Good Day Tulsa show and FOX 23 came today too. We love the media!

JBF Bound!

This car is headed to the JBF check-in today. It's loaded with goodies- cute maternity, baby and toddler clothes (some are brand new with tags), toys and baby gear. Consigners with over 300 items, including this one, were able to make appointments to check-in early. See anything you'll want to grab?

Note from Shannon

As I sit here in my home, emailing at 6:00 in the morning, taking care of last minute questions before the craziness of the sale begins, I think about how thankful I am for all of the consignors and volunteers that make this event what it is. Daven and I feel so blessed by each of you who choose to participate in Just Between Friends.
The Trade Center is almost set up and ready for those consignors who are dropping off this evening (consignors with over 300 clothing items). We are excited to see what you will bring and ready to get this sale underway! The empty Trade Center will be full before you know it and we will all be grabbing those awesome bargains that we are expecting!
Since the sale will begin, in all reality, for me, this evening…I spent a great evening with my kids last night. Football practice and shopping..what could be better? HA! We prayed together night before last for the temperature this week to be in the 80’s or 90’s (we were pretty specific in our request….) and were so thrilled to wake up yesterday to find out that Saturday and Sunday’s (busiest days) temperatures would be 94 and 95 degrees….not the 101 that was earlier forecasted. Please continue to pray about the temperature, as shoppers are more likely to show up and continue shopping if the temperature is not oppressive.

Welcome from Shannon and Daven

Welcome to the Just Between Friends Tulsa blog. We are hoping to give you relevant information here as well as give you a little peak at what the Tulsa sale is all about. Special thanks to Jill and Lisa with coming up with this idea and executing it for us! I know that, if you are consigning at the Fall 2007 event (August 19-26th) that you are probably busy tagging your items. I hope that you are taking advantage of our new online tagging system. It is so much faster than hand-writing your tags! My kids have been a huge help getting our items ready. I enter the tags in the http://www.myjbftags.com/ system (So EASY!) and then press print. I then give them to my kids to cut out and pin/tape on the waiting items…it went by so quickly. I have more items to price/tag today and I am looking forward to it..not dreading it! J
Don’t forget to let friends of yours that are “First Time Moms” know that tomorrow (Sunday, August 12) is the last day to sign up to be a first time mom and come to our special presale on Saturday, August 18th at 7:00pm…they have to pre-register by using our online signup page.
